SemantyFish officially launched

SemantyFish aims to enhance the visibility, interoperability, and exploitability of FishBase by transforming it into a semantic web knowledge base. By leveraging semantic web technologies, the project will enable seamless data exchange, complex queries, and integration with global research infrastructures, advancing its role in open science and interdisciplinary research. SemantyFish is an open science project funded under the OSCARS 1st Open Call for Open Science Projects and Services. Starting in October 2024, the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH) and Quantitative Aquatics Inc. (Q-quatics) have joined forces for the next 24 months to implement SemantyFish.
